Kendrick Lamar sat down with Hypetrak while out in Hong Kong for his first interview on Asian soil. The Compton rapper talked about touring with Dr. Dre and his major label debut album “good kid, m.A.A.d. city” going platinum. He says the hardest thing for a new artist to do is to get someone to listen, so he’s definitely grateful at the huge accomplishment. He ends off the conversation discussing his Top Dawg Entertainment team and leaves the fans with a special message.
50 Cent made an appearance on Funkmaster Flex‘s show on Hot 97 earlier last night where he revealed his thoughts on Kendrick Lamar‘s critically acclaimed “Control” verse, which he believes the people wanted him to respond to. He also talked about his current relationship with Nas and his disliking for Steve Stoute. Curtis mentioned the state of his G-Unit crew as well and discussed much more.

Wow. So even TMZ is bugging Kendrick Lamar about his rap verse of the year. I think that means he’s officially famous now, right? Here’s footage they got being the ignorant paparazzi that they are, trying to get something out of K. Dot about all the “Control” responses including Meek Mill’s latest, “Ooh Kill Em.” All he had to say was, “They gotta try harder.”
Things are getting a little heated between Kendrick Lamar and Meek Mill. During a sold out performance in Brooklyn earlier tonight, K.Dot had a few choice words directed at Meek in response to his latest diss record “Ooh Kill Em.”
“I been doing this s**t for years…I mastered this s**t. I have no time for irrelevant n***as [or] new n***as. There’s one n***a in particular that needs to realize that there’s ‘levels’ to this s**t. I’m MOTHER F**KIN’ KING KENDRICK!”
Since then, Meek Mill has already seen what Kendrick had said, and responded via his Twitter.
