Well it looks like things for Lil Wayne aren’t looking so well. Earlier this week he apologized for his controversial lyric about Emmitt Till on Future’s “Karate Chop.” It appears PepsiCo didn’t by it and decided to terminate their partnership with the rapper who was the main man promoting their Mountain Dew product. Weezy’s publicist has stated that the departure was due to “creative differences,” but with Rick Ross having already been dropped from his deal with Reebok for similar circumstances, I can’t see this situation being any different.
Says PepsiCo:
“Offensive reference to a revered civil rights icon does not reflect the values of our brand.
