Ja Rule wasn’t to be released from his prison sentence until July 28th for his tax evasion. Looks like the rapper caught a break and got out a bit earlier than we had thought. His website confirms he is a free man and even N.O.R.E. tweeted earlier that he spoke to him. Can he make a musical comeback though?
Just spoke to @ruleyork everybody tell him welcome home!!!
Lauryn Hill recently signed a deal with Sony reportedly worth $1 million to help pay her debts with the IRS. She owes $1.8 million in taxes and paid back half over the weekend with the release of her new song. The money didn’t come quick enough as the singer has been sentenced to 3 months in prison for her tax evasion. Here is just another lesson on why you need to be good with your money and pay your taxes. At least she only got a slap on the wrist this time.
Remember when Gunplay turned himself in to the police not too long ago for outstanding charges? Yea well now he is released on a $150 000 bond and house arrest which means we’ll have to put up with more of his horrendous music. He still faces charges for aggravated assault with a firearm and armed robbery though. Read what his attorney said about it all below.y:
“The state did not prove that Mr. Morales was a flight risk or a threat to the community. He should be home with his family shortly. This is first step in clearing his name so he can continue his emerging music career.”
The Federal Bureau of Prisons has stated that T.I. is expected to finish his 11 month prison sentence on September 29th. He was locked back up on November 1st 2010 for violating his federal probation. Let’s see if he can get his music career going again instead of getting locked up again.
So yesterday Buck was indicted on federal weapon possession charges and if found guilty, the rapper could face 10 years in prison. Right now he is out on bond and was forced to forfeit his passport, but if he posts a 100 000$ bond by Friday he will get it back.
